Geese Project Leadership Workshop Graduates: the Next Wave of Global Filipino Leaders
Taguig City, August 28, 2025 — Leaders, entrepreneurs, and professionals came together at F1 Hotel, Bonifacio Global City, for the Geese Mentality Leadership Workshop, a transformative, full-day event designed to shift Filipino leadership from the isolating “crab mentality” to the collaborative and future-ready Geese Mentality.
The workshop, led by Richard Caballero, Founder and CEO of Geese Project, alongside Jack Madrid, President and CEO of the IT & Business Process Association of the Philippines (IBPAP), challenged participants to reimagine how leadership is practiced in the Philippines.
From Crab Mentality to Geese Mentality
Filipino culture is often described as warm, resourceful, and resilient—yet the workplace can still be weighed down by crab mentality: competition that holds others back instead of lifting them forward. The Geese Mentality Framework offers a powerful alternative: just as geese fly in formation to conserve energy, share strength, and navigate storms together, Filipino leaders can achieve more by leading collaboratively.
Throughout the day, participants gained practical skills in:
Conflict Management — how to resolve disagreements without breaking trust
Critical Thinking — how to analyze problems and arrive at sound, timely decisions
Effective Communication — how to express clearly and overcome the “nahihiya” syndrome that limits collaboration
A Leadership Movement Rooted in Filipino Values
The energy in the room was palpable—leaders exchanging ideas, challenging assumptions, and working together in breakout activities. More than just techniques, the workshop emphasized mindset transformation: leadership that doesn’t just aim for personal success, but lifts others along the way.
“What we’re building is not just another leadership seminar, but a movement”, said Richard Caballero. “It’s a vision of leadership that carries the heart of bayanihan and the rigor of global business practices. We believe Filipino leaders have what it takes to thrive not just locally, but on the global stage”.
Equipping the Next Generation of Leaders
Each participant walked away with not only new skills but also a renewed sense of mission—to lead with empathy, collaboration, and courage. Graduates of the program received a certificate from the Geese Project – Toronto, Canada, symbolizing their readiness to rise as global Filipino leaders.
The August 28 workshop marks only the beginning. With more events, community learning, and accessible training on the horizon, Geese Project is determined to shape a new era of leadership—one where Filipinos no longer fly alone, but soar together.
